In April 2018 Lancashire’s Lighthouse Radio started broadcasting globally and sharing the message that the love of Jesus Christ is for all.
LLR Ministries hold testimony meetings where a guest speaker shares their story of coming to know Christ. These meetings often include fellowship beforehand including food and drink and a time of worship. There is always time for any questions which may arise before the meeting closes. More recently members of LLR Ministries started to take part in ‘Geo-Caching’, this presented a great way to spread the love of Jesus Christ using tracts and other Christian material.
The global community is very important to LLR Ministries and we have built some wonderful partnerships with church’s and ministries where we do not just support each in prayer but financial blessings. Locally we are involved in care homes and regularly visit the elderly with doll therapy sessions.
Of course as we are based in Blackpool and with tourism being very important to the town we are actively involved in various ‘clean-up’ operations whether on the beach or streets.
LLR Ministries came into being in mid 2020, three years after the vision for Lancashire’s Lighthouse Radio (LLR) was revealed.
During the COVID-19 ‘lockdown’ period we assisted in the set up of live social media broadcasts and video production which was used by a well know Christian TV channel. A key area within the church is the ability to display song lyrics and scripture, LLR Ministries are able to offer free open-source software and training in this area.
LLR (Lancashire’s Lighthouse Radio) Ministries was started in June 2020 as the radio ministry was expanding into other areas. In particular, due to the COVID-19 lockdown period we were called upon by a number of churches and ministries to assist in the setting up of social media ‘live streams’ which remain popular to this day. Whilst involved in this process it was realised just how much we were involved in other areas. Media production (Audio & Video), Church/Ministry technologies, testimony meetings, public/after dinner speaking, doll therapy sessions, radio set-up guidance and of course various other forms of evangelism.
I recognise The Lord has blessed LLR Ministries greatly and it has a great support network. I’m sure I speak for all involved in this ministry when I say it is a privilege to serve our Lord and we will continue to serve as He guides.
When we started Grace Christian Church, LLR Ministries provided free software and training allowing us to display lyrics and scripture. We can't thank them enough.Pastor Cliff Chapman
